Roar Run
Roar Run is a community running event held at Picacho Hills Country Club in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event offers multiple distances and uses golf cart paths on a scenic, hilly course at the country club. The 10K has a 90 minute time cutoff for safety due to the course reopening to members.
Distances:
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run / Walk (1 Miles)
All participants receive a commemorative race T-shirt. 5K and 10K finishers receive a custom Roar Run medal. Top three finishers in each age category receive prizes; age categories include 10 and under, 11–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus.
The event supports the development of the Roar Campus in Ndola, Zambia, a project intended to provide food, education, shelter, mentorship, and leadership training for children and youth. Packet pickup details are listed as TBD. After the event, a breakfast burrito is included for participants; additional snacks, drinks, and event merchandise are available for purchase.
Registration opens June 1, 2026, and closes September 15, 2026. Registration fees listed are $40 for the 10K, $30 for the 5K, and $20 for the 1 Mile Family Fun Run / Walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
