Event details

The fell race takes place at Rivington Pike in the South/West Pennines, England. The course distance is 5.2 km / 3.2 miles with 213 m / 699 ft of climb. The event is listed in category BS and notes "Skills: PM". Registration is at the Crown Hotel, Horwich. The start and finish are at Lever Park Avenue, BL6 7QJ. The minimum age for entry is 16.

Entry, teams and prizes

Pre-entry is available and there is entry on the day. Pre-entry fee is £10.00 and entry on the day fee is £12.00. Teams are allowed: men's teams of 4, ladies teams of 3, and vets teams of 3. Cash prizes are awarded to podium finishers, and there is a £500 prize for any winner who breaks the men's or ladies course records. The male course record time is 00:15:53 (1981) and the female course record time is 00:19:11 (2022).

Junior races and permissions

Junior races are held for U10 (over 6), U12, U14 and U16. Junior registration and the junior start take place behind Rivington & Blackrod School, BL6 7RU.
