Rivertown Races
Rivertown Races takes place April 17 and 18, 2026, at Millennium Park in the Grand Rapids area (1400 Maynard Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534). The event uses the Meadows of Millennium Park for start and finish areas and includes on-site food, beverages, music, and family activities.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles
- 10K, 6.2 miles
- 5K, 3.1 miles
- Rivertown Kids one mile fun run, 1 mile
The course travels over roads, paved trails, and bridges and passes rolling terrain, wetlands, and lakes. A kids fun run is held the evening before the main race day; that run is untimed and intended to give children an introductory race experience. Each kids participant receives a shirt, a medal, and a bib, and parents or older siblings may run with the children.
Virtual options are available for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. The event is presented by Striders and lists Bridge Street Ministries as owner and beneficiary. Registration opened November 6, 2025. Some in-person event registrations close December 27, 2025, while kids and virtual event registration remain open into April 2026. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by March 30.
