Riverside Garden Paths Run - Townsville Road Runners Inc
Townsville Road Runners organises a club run that starts and finishes at Pioneer Park in the Riverway precinct. Registration closes on Fri 18 Sep 2026 at 20:00. Participants choose their course when registering and a race brief is held before the run.

The long course begins at Pioneer Park and follows paths that cross Federation Bridge and Riverside Boulevard, then passes through Horizon Drive and Outlook Crescent back toward the river. The route includes a riverside pedestrian bridge, a loop past the tavern area, residential streets such as Azure Court and Honeyeater Circuit, and Estuary Parade and Finch Lane. Runners leave the concrete path onto a short dirt section, cross a rock causeway, rejoin Riverwalk Way, then use Vickers Bridge to return to Pioneer Park.
The short course also starts and finishes at Pioneer Park. It follows the path across Federation Bridge, along Riverside Boulevard into Horizon Drive and Outlook Crescent, then returns across the pedestrian bridge and back to Federation Bridge before finishing at Pioneer Park.
Cost for the event is Members free and Non Members six dollars. Donations toward tea, coffee and biscuits are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
