River’s Edge Trail Race
River’s Edge Trail Race is a trail running and mountain bike event held in downtown Georgetown, TX, at the Katy Trailhead in San Gabriel Park on May 29, 2027. The course uses singletrack dirt trails that run along the banks of the San Gabriel River and link multiple parks and nearby Southwestern University property. The trails are built and maintained by the Georgetown Trails Foundation.
Terrain mixes hard‑packed singletrack, shaded dirt roads, and fields with rolling terrain and short climbs and descents. Recent course updates note creek crossings that may wet shoes or require riders to shoulder bikes where water covers the trail.
Distances:

The event is cupless; participants must carry their own cup or bottle and be able to carry up to five miles of water between aid stations. Course markings include caution tape, arrows, and confidence markers so navigation is not required. All races are chip timed; participants who leave the course must return their timing chip. Pacers are not allowed. Drop bag service is not provided beyond the Race Hub, and personal belongings are not monitored. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
