Riverfront Hartford 4 Mile
The Riverfront Hartford 4 Mile is an evening road race held in Hartford on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The course was redesigned and follows a route that provides views of the Connecticut River. The event is the second of three Riverfront Summer Series races.
After the race, participants gather at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza where a craft beer option is available for those 21 and over with ID. Each race participant receives a custom short sleeve shirt. The post race area also hosts the HMF Can collection point for nonperishable food donations to support CT State Community College - Capital of Hartford, a program supported by Stop & Shop.
The Riverfront Summer Series is a trio of Thursday evening events that includes varied distances and awards a lightweight custom long sleeve tee to series finishers. Distances in the series include:
- Hartford Riverfront 5K in June
- Redesigned Riverfront 4 Mile in July
- Riverfront 5 Mile in East Hartford in August
The event names HMF's Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program as the charity beneficiary. In 2026 HMF launched the free HMF Milestone membership with perks such as a custom birthday gift, member only wait lists, and personalized bibs at select events; an optional Milestone+ tier adds specialty apparel, extra rewards, and a Mail My Packet benefit at premier events.
