About the race
The 14th Annual RiverFire 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for 10/17/2026 in Berlin, New Hampshire. The event offers both in-person and virtual options for a 5K (3.1 miles). The in-person course is certified (NH 19005BK) and is described as flat and fast. The route runs along the Androscoggin River and finishes at Berlin's RiverFire Celebration, which features food, music & events for the entire family.
Registration opens 8/10/2026. The in-person 5K has a registration fee of $20.00 with a closing date of 9/30/2026. An All Students category is available for the in-person 5K with a $15.00 fee and registration through 10/16/2026. A Virtual 5K option is offered with a $15.00 fee and registration through 10/16/2026.
Virtual participants complete a 3.1 mile run, walk, or hike on a course and at a time of their choosing. The virtual distance does not have to be exact and does not need to be completed all at once. Virtual participation is held in honor of Response.
