2027 River Road Run
The River Road Run takes place in the historic town of Comfort, Texas, situated within the Texas Hill Country. This event serves as the first race in the four-part Texas Hill Country Half Marathon Series. The course is characterized by rolling hills and views of the Guadalupe River and Cypress Creek, including shaded streets and low water crossings.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10 Mile SKYDOME
- 10k
- 5k
- .05k Fun Run
The event starts near the gazebo at Comfort Community Park. The SKYDOME 10 miler is a specific featured route within the event. In addition to the in-person races, virtual options are available for the half marathon, 10 miler, 10k, and 5k. There is also a dedicated category for 5k competitive walkers.
Awards are presented to the top four finishers in five-year age increments for the 13.1 mile, 10k, and 5k races. Overall awards for male and female divisions, including masters and super masters, are determined by gun time, while age group awards use chip timing. Packet pickup is held at a local running store in San Antonio the day before the event and at the start line on the morning of the race.
