Event Details
The River Rat Run is a 5K event taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Gas City, Indiana. The race start and finish are at the City Hall Pavilion on A Street.
Course Information
The route begins behind City Hall and goes north on 3rd Street to the track at Mississinewa High School. Runners complete a few laps on the track, then proceed along the perimeter of the school property. The course continues through a trail in the woods before exiting onto Garthwaite Road. The final stretch involves a left turn onto H Street, a right turn back onto 3rd Street, and a finish back at City Hall Pavilion.
Registration and Awards
Sign-in and registration take place at Hutchins Commons, located west of City Hall. Awards are presented after the last runner finishes. They are given to the overall top male and female runners, and to the top three male or female runners in each age group.
Age Groups
The age categories are 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
