Honor Run - YMCA, Matter Park, Marion, IN
The Honor Run & Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Matter Park in Marion, Indiana. Hosted by the Grant County Family YMCA, the event honors the life and service of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and expresses gratitude to people who continue to serve in the armed forces.
Participants may choose between the following distances:
- 5K run
- 1 mile walk
Both routes follow the Mississinewa River. Funds raised support the Grant County Family YMCA program that provides free memberships for active military personnel and financial scholarships for retired personnel.
The day also includes a Grant County Sheriff’s Department Chaplaincy pickleball doubles tournament held after the run. The pickleball tournament is organized as a fundraiser and lists an entry fee of $40 per team.
The event program includes divisions for adults and youth, a kids race or options for ages 5 and under, and categories recognizing active duty service members, veterans, and first responders.
