Event details
The River Rat Races take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Kankakee River State Park in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The event includes the following races and walk:
- 10 Mile Run
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Each event lists an entry price of $20. Prices increase after November 8, 2025.
Location and logistics
Races are held on the bike trail just west of the Rock Creek suspension bridge. Packet pickup and race day registration are located at the shelter (pavilion) just east of the suspension bridge. Water stations are provided on course, and post-race refreshments are available before and during the awards ceremony.
