River Falls
River Falls is a trail running event in Bend, Oregon, held on September 5, 2026. Both the 10K and 5K begin and end at Riverbend Park and follow sections of the Deschutes River Trail, including a crossing of the footbridge roughly 1.5 miles upstream. The 10K continues onto the Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail, a first for a trail race at this location, and then returns to the east-side trail with narrower, rockier riverside sections.
Distances:
- 10K - course uses Deschutes River Trail and Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail.
- 5K - course along Deschutes River Trail between Riverbend Park and footbridge.
Registration fees listed for June 5 through August 30 are $55 for the 10K, $45 for the 5K, and $30 for youth 17 and under for any distance. Bib pickup is available race morning at Riverbend Park. Pre-race coffee is provided by Backporch Coffee at check in. Post-race food and drinks are available for participants and volunteers.
Every finisher receives a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes from event sponsors. The event benefits the Ridgeview cross country and track team. Trails used are multi-use and remain open to other users. Dogs are not permitted in the race.
