Event Overview
The Rivaura Rosé River Run/Walk is a 5K run and walk event taking place in May. It is the sixth annual edition of the event.
Route Details
The course starts and finishes at the Event Barn inside Rivaura's South Vineyard. Participants begin by running through the vineyard, then head west onto Hewett Road towards Spaulding Park. Approximately halfway, there is a turnaround point. The return route follows the same path back through the vineyard to the finish at the Event Barn.
Participant Information
The event is described as family-friendly. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt, a wine tumbler, and a choice of a glass of Rivaura's Cab Franc Rosé or a River Ranch Brewing Co. beer. Participants under 21 receive a glass of sparkling cider. Children aged 5 and under can participate for free, while children aged 6 to 12 receive a discounted price. Child and youth size T-shirts are available.
Charitable Cause
A portion of the race proceeds and all donations from the event go to fentanyl awareness, as May is Fentanyl Awareness Month. The event honors a person named Cal Daniel Heinen.
Venue and Atmosphere
On the day of the event, the Event Barn opens early for participants. Music, food, drinks, and other items are available before and after the race in and around the barn.
