Ritter Way Challenge 5K Run and Walk, Broussard LA
The Ritter Way Challenge 5K is scheduled for May 30, 2026 at Mill Pond Kennels, 1222 Wall Rd, Broussard LA 70518. All proceeds for the event will go to the Jamieson Ritter Foundation, which supports scholarships, community safety programs, and outreach between law enforcement and communities.

The event provides participant gift bags that include certificates, koozies, cooling towels, snacks, water and other items. The first 35 runners to register will receive a commemorative challenge coin. A photo backdrop area will be available. Medals will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place in each age group division for the 5K run, and trophies will be presented to the first male and first female overall finishers for both the run and the walk. Fruit and additional snacks will be provided on site.
Participants can register for any age division and may complete the course with a stroller or a dog. Teams may enter but awards are given to individuals; teams of five or more receive a 10 percent registration discount. Packet pickup will take place at the race site on May 30. A dock diving event with additional raffles, vendors, and activities will follow on site.
