RISE UP! Run Over Cancer 5K
The Carolina Strive RISE UP! Run Over Cancer 5K is a city-wide fundraising race in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on November 21, 2026. Proceeds will remain local to support patients through the UNC Health Nash Foundation’s Cancer Fund.
The Foundation uses event proceeds to fill gaps in health care and community outreach that are outside the hospital’s regular operating budget. Funds from this event are designated to help cancer patients with needs such as medication, transportation, and nutritional supplements.

- 5K
Registration pricing is tiered: $25 for early registration through November 7; $30 from November 8 to November 20; $40 on race day. Children 7 and under are free; ages 8 to 13 receive 50% off when accompanied by an adult. Event shirts are available for pre-order at $20 and must be ordered by November 4, 2026.
The event offers individual awards across multiple age ranges, keepsake items for participants, and timing with a certificate for each runner. All 5K participants receive a Carolina Strive drawstring bag, a Carolina Strive hand towel, and a one-size-fits-all wristband.
