Rise & Run Ultra
The Rise & Run Ultra is a running event held on the West Rim Trail in the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon near Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. The event offers two distances: a 50K and a 25K race. Both courses are out-and-back on the West Rim Trail.
The event has a pre-dawn start for both distances. A noon finish cutoff applies to all participants. The race organization describes itself as minimalistic, without features like chip timing or merchandise.
The 50K course has one aid station and one water drop. The 25K course has one water drop and no aid station. Runners are expected to be self-sufficient. A post-race breakfast is served at the finish line. The first male and female finishers in each race receive a free registration for the following year's event.
