Hills Creek Endurance Challenge
Hills Creek Endurance Challenge is an endurance running event held at Hills Creek Lake near Wellsboro, PA. The course consists of a roughly 3-mile loop around the lake, mainly on single-track trail, with just over 200 feet of elevation gain per loop. The start/finish and the aid station are located at the Sugarbush Pavilion.
Participants can choose from multiple timed options:
- 3-hour
- 6-hour
- 12-hour
- 12-hour 4-person relay
The 12-hour relay allows teams of up to four people; smaller teams are permitted. Relay teams must keep a single bib moving between team members, and a special prize is planned for the first place team.
Event proceeds recipient for the year is still being determined. Past beneficiaries include The Glioblastoma Foundation, Mission 22, and Boxes of Hope. The event is affiliated with ReVibe Wild Runners; the club offers free participation to kids 17 and under who register with the club.
On-site camping is available within Hills Creek State Park for tents, campers, or cabins, with reservations made through Reserve America. If park campgrounds are full, Ives Run campground is approximately nine miles away as a nearby alternative.
This event is rain or shine. There are no refunds, no deferrals, and no transferring of bibs. A youth discount offers 50 percent off the regular registration fee for runners 14 and under; this discount does not apply to relay entries and requires the code Kids2025 at checkout.
