Event Information
The Conquer the Canyon Race Festival takes place on July 25, 2026, in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. The address is 5440 US-6. The event offers several race distances: a Full Marathon, a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. There is also a Combo 5K and 10K option.
Course Details
The courses are a combination of road and trail. The Half Marathon is an out-and-back route. The first 4.2 miles are paved and described as hilly, ending near a scenic overlook. The next 2.3 miles are on a trail of hard-packed dirt with no roots or potholes. The Full Marathon is two loops of the Half Marathon course and is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier. The 5K and 10K are simple out-and-back routes on the same course.
Participant Features
Registration includes a medal, lanyard, t-shirt, and running ankle socks. All first-time half marathon and marathon finishers receive a commemorative plaque in addition to their finisher's medal. A non-binary registration option is available with its own awards categories. A 10% discount on race entry is offered for service members and their families.
Special Notes
An early start option is available for the Half Marathon and Full Marathon, one hour before the official start time. No awards are given for early starts. The event is part of a Half Marathon Series and a Marathon Race Series. A discount and a special "I Did The Double" t-shirt are offered for participants who also register for the Run for the Elk event the following day.
