Event overview
The Conquer the Canyon Marathon Race Festival is scheduled for July 25, 2026 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania at 5440 US-6. The festival offers multiple race distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon

- Combo 5K and 10K
There is a 4 hour time limit for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. Marathon entries include an option for a one-hour early start, which provides at least 6.5 hours to complete the marathon. A 10% entry discount is available for service members and their family.
Course details
The Full Marathon is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier (certification number PA22017NP) and follows two loops of the half marathon course. The half marathon is an out-and-back loop that goes out 6.5543 miles to a turnaround. The first 4.2 miles of the half are paved and hilly, ending near a scenic overlook; the next 2.3 miles use a hard-packed dirt trail with little auto traffic and few roots or potholes. The 5K and 10K courses go out and return to the finish (approximately 1.55 and 3.1 miles out, respectively).
Awards, swag and services
Race swag includes a medal, lanyard, t-shirt and running ankle socks. First-time half and full marathon finishers receive a plaque in addition to a finisher medal. Awards include top overall and age-group places for male, female and non-binary categories. Services include live/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations made three weeks in advance.
