Event Overview
This is the 11th annual Rise N Shine 5K Run/Walk. It takes place in Grand Vue Park, Moundsville, West Virginia. The event has two options: a 5K Run/Walk and a 5K Walk Only. Both start at the same time.
The start and finish point for both events is the Big Red Barn at Grand Vue Park. The course for 2026 will be the same as the one used in 2025.
Awards and Benefits
Awards are given for both the run and walk events. Overall top three male and female finishers are recognized. Age group awards are also given for top three male and female finishers in the following categories: 1-7, 8-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Participants can receive a T-shirt, but size and availability are only guaranteed for registrations completed by August 30th. Post-race food and door prizes are provided. All proceeds from the event are donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Marshall County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
