Rise N Shine 5K Run/Walk
The Rise N Shine 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at the Big Red Barn in Grand Vue Park, 250 Trail Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041. This is the 11th annual edition of the event.

Registration opens on January 14, 2026 and closes on August 29, 2026. The registration fee is $25. The last day to guarantee a T-shirt in a preferred size is August 29; extra shirts will be ordered but shirt and size are not guaranteed for registrations after that date.
The course uses the same route as in 2025. A course map will be posted at a later date.
Awards are given for overall top three male and female finishers in both the run and the walk, and for the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 1-7, 8-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Marshall County. The American Cancer Society is described as a nationwide, community based, voluntary health organization focused on preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
