Emerge 5K
Emerge 5K is a free, family friendly untimed walk and run held in early May at Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colorado. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities and takes place at 5565 Reservoir Rd, Boulder, CO 80301.
The course follows an out and back route along the reservoir to a designated turnaround point and returns to the start area. Parking is available at Boulder Reservoir and carpooling is encouraged. The gathering includes live music by Kutandara, a Kid Area, a Quiet Reflection and Connection Zone, community vendor and resource booths, and local food trucks. Food options will be available after the walk and run. Butterfly memorials line the course; participants may purchase a butterfly in memory or in honor of someone, creating a visible display of remembrance and community.
The event supports youth mental health and suicide prevention through the organizing group Rise Against Suicide. The organization has funded more than 20,000 free therapy sessions and supported over 2,000 local youth at risk of suicide.
