RIS 5K
The RIS 5K is a running race held in Rolling Hills Estates. The event features a single distance for all participants:

The course is located at 550 Deep Valley Dr. Specific registration tiers are available for the general public, Ridgecrest teachers and staff, and family members of Ridgecrest staff.
Participants can collect their race shirts and bib packets on Friday, April 24th, at Ridgecrest Intermediate School in Rancho Palos Verdes. On the day of the event, packet pickup is moved to the Promenade PV. Runners are requested to bring a copy of their registration confirmation email when collecting their gear.
The event includes a competitive element with medals awarded to the top male and female finishers across various categories. Student participants are grouped by grade level, including 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Remaining participants are organized into age brackets: 14-17, 18-34, 35-44, 45-59, 60-74, and 75 and over.
