Event overview
Ripley’s Penguin Dash Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach on Broadway at the Beach (1110 Celebrity Circle). The event program includes a chip-timed 5K, a family 1-mile fun run/walk, and a free Toddler Waddle. Participants are encouraged to dress for the penguin theme and all ages are welcome. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to SANCCOB, the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds, and participants may make additional donations during registration.

Logistics and course
Start and finish are outside Ripley’s Aquarium. The course is not certified and may use one of two layouts because of construction: a short course just under 3 miles or a long course of 3.7 miles. The 5K consists of three loops and the 1-mile event completes one loop. Race swag includes a bib for all events, medals for the 5K and 1-mile, participant shirts while supplies last, and a single-entry aquarium ticket for 5K and 1-mile participants. Parking is available at Broadway at the Beach and restrooms are adjacent to the aquarium. Registration is online only and closes on race day. Bib pickup is available at Ripley’s Aquarium the day before and the morning of the event.
