Riot Run 5K at Prison City Brewery
The event centers on a chip timed 5K race that starts and ends next to Prison City Brewing Company in Auburn, New York. The closed course runs through the heart of the city and finishes at the bottom of State Street, with live music, yard games and a street festival at the brewery after the race.
There is a virtual 5K option for participants who cannot be in Auburn. The on-site race includes overall male and female places 1, 2, 3 and 10 year age category awards.
After the awards ceremony the Riot Run Stein Hoist Challenge invites runners to compete to hold a full half-liter of Prison City beer in a glass stein. The Stein Hoist awards an entry to the next year’s race to the winner; net proceeds benefit the event’s charity partner and participants keep the beer and the mug.
