Event overview
The Rio Bravo Rumble is scheduled for January 17, 2026 at Rio Bravo Ranch, 15701 Highway 178, Bakersfield, CA 93306. The event includes two running distances:
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
This is the 21st running of the event and proceeds benefit Bike Bakersfield. The course is entirely on dirt and is described as not flat. The race takes place on private land; there is no pre-event access to the ranch. Pets and outside food are not allowed on the premises.
Registration and logistics
Registration is available online or by mail-in/drop-off using the organizer’s registration form. Youth entries (18 and under) for the adult races must be submitted via the mail-in form and are tied to a paying adult. Pre-registration packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the race at the Glinn & Giordano Physical Therapy office at 9501 Flushing Quail Road #10, Bakersfield. Timing chips and bibs will be distributed at packet pick-up, and T-shirts are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants cannot pick up pre-registration packets for others without a signed waiver from the registered participant. The course distance may vary after rain or other conditions.
