RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile
The RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile is a road running event held in Denver's RiNo Art District and Historic Curtis Park. It offers two distances and options for participants to run or walk on closed city streets while passing local street art.
Distances
- 5K: road run/walk through the River North Art District and Historic Curtis Park
- 1 mile: Larimer Street race with multiple waves including competitive and social heats
The RiNo 5K course is described as flat and is USATF certified. The mile takes place completely on the road. Closed-road operation means no bike paths or sidewalks are used for the official courses. Dogs and strollers are allowed with restrictions; they are not permitted in competitive mile waves or at the front of the 5K.
Registration options include a combined 5K and 1 mile entry, a social self-timed bib that excludes online results and race photos, and optional registration insurance. Standard registration benefits include one drink ticket, professional timing and scoring, and other local discounts. Event shirts are optional.
Packet pick up is available before the event and near the start/finish location at 27th and Larimer. The event provides parking in the Coors Field structure and dispersed street parking throughout the neighborhood. Water and paper cups are available and participants are asked to bring reusable bottles.
Awards for the 5K include overall and masters by gun time and age group awards by chip time. A team Champions Cup is scored using cross country style team scoring. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
