RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile : Denver River North Art District
The RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile is a community road race held in Denver’s River North Art District and Historic Curtis Park. The 5K is a USATF certified flat course run entirely on closed roads with no bike paths or sidewalks. The one mile event takes place on Larimer Street and is organized into multiple waves, including competitive and social heats.
Registration options include the 5K, the Larimer Mile, a discounted combo entry for both races, and a social bib for self-timed noncompetitive participants. Registration benefits listed by the organizer include professional timing and scoring, one drink ticket, shareable online results, an optional event shirt, a Topo Designs discount, and optional registration insurance.
Packet pickup is available at a nearby brewery the day before the race and at the start area on race morning. Race day operations note water and paper cups on course and ask participants to bring reusable water bottles to reduce single use plastic. Dogs and strollers are allowed with restrictions for competitive waves and front-of-pack positioning.
Awards and team scoring are part of the event. Individual awards use gun time and chip time categories as specified for overall, masters, and age groups in the 5K. The organizing body is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit operating since 2017.
