Ringing in Hope: A Salute to our Troops
Ringing in Hope: A Salute to our Troops is scheduled for May 31, 2027 on the grounds of Christian Fellowship Church at 44505 Atwater Drive, Ashburn, Virginia. The event combines timed road races, a one-mile fun run, virtual race options, and a large Memorial Day marketplace.
The event includes these distances:
- 10K timed race
- 5K timed race
- 1M Freedom Fun Run one-mile fun run
- 5K Virtual option
- 10K Virtual option
The Memorial Day Marketplace features more than 100 vendors, live entertainment, food trucks, bakers, ice cream, handcrafted goods, and family-friendly activities. Food is available at the finish line and participants can expect on-site entertainment and team competitions.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group. A special trophy is awarded to the largest team in the timed races.
Pre-registered participants are listed to receive a commemorative race bib, finish-line food, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. The organizer notes that medals are currently out of stock; dog tags are available and shirts can be substituted where applicable. The designated nonprofit beneficiary is Boulder Crest Retreat; participants will be asked to bring an in-kind donated item at Packet Pickup or on registration day, and donation or fundraising options are noted.
