Ring out the Old Half Marathon

Event
Ring Out the Old is a running event on December 27, 2025, at Woodley Park, 6076 Woodley Avenue, Encino, CA 91316. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Parking is available free in the park lot, with additional street parking on Woodley Avenue. Bib pick-up and a registration tent are provided. A gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a medal; overall first place male and female awards are given for each distance. Race results and photos are emailed the day after the event; race photos are free.
Course and on-course support
The routes include grass sections, a tunnel under the road, and paths inside the park. The 5K loops the lake and returns. The 10K goes to the other side of the park, passes under a bridge, and returns along a different path. The Half Marathon follows the 10K route with an added out-and-back section and involves two laps to reach the full distance. Courses are on open paths.
Multiple water stations are placed along the routes. The finish area has an aid station with water, electrolytes, and snacks. Each station has a first aid kit, and crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk and directional signs. The Half and 10K have a 3 hour 20 minute course time limit.
