Event Overview
Ring My Bell is a regional running and walking event held in Oreana, Illinois. The event features two distinct distances for participants of various ages and abilities:
- 4.5 miles
- 2 miles (walk or run)
The courses are characterized by a flat profile. Both routes take place within the town, while the 4.5-mile course includes an out-and-back section on a local country road. For those participating in the longer distance, a water station is positioned along the route and is accessed twice during the race.
The registration structure includes several age categories for both male and female participants: 10 and under, 11-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors such as red, white, and blue.
After the race, a meal is provided for those taking part. The menu features spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce, rolls, salad, and cookies. Event shirts are provided to participants who register by specific deadlines, with a limited quantity available for late registrants.
