Ridge to Rails presents three trail race distances in Old Fort, North Carolina, using a mix of new and established trails in the Old Fort Gateway and Mill Creek Valley areas.
- 50k one big loop using local trails and forest service roads
- Half marathon net downhill point to point losing about 2500 ft over 13 miles
- 10k figure 8 loop through Old Fort Gateway smooth graded trails
The 50k route is a single loop that links trails and FS roads such as Jarrett Creek Rd, Star Gap Trail, Mill Creek Rd, Bernard Mtn Rd, Bernard Mtn Trail, Point Lookout Trail, Kitsuma Trail, Copper Ridge Trail, Rostan Trail, and Salt Gap Trail; the official map is under review with the USFS. The 10k connects many of the new gateway trails with short gravel links.
