Catawba Falls 15k
The Catawba Falls 15k takes place on February 27, 2027 in Old Fort, NC. The race starts at the newly opened Foothills Watershed property near 655 Catawba River Rd and covers a single 15 kilometer course organized by Tanawha Adventures. The route begins with a roughly 2-mile stretch along the Catawba River. The main challenge is a 3.5-mile trail loop that leads up to Catawba Falls and includes steep staircases, creek crossings, and technical trail sections. Runners pass mountain vistas and two waterfalls on the loop. Event materials state that proceeds support local trail and land conservation through partnerships with Foothills Butchery and the Grange of Black Mountain.
