Ridge Runner 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run
The event takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Big Ridge State Park, 1015 Big Ridge Park Road, Maynardville, Tennessee 37807. The course starts and finishes at the park on State Highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville.
Distances:
- 3.1 miles - trail course through park terrain.
- 1 mile - asphalt course.
Directions note the park entrance on Highway 61. From I-75 use exit 122 and follow Highway 61 east for about 12 miles. Coordinates for the park are 36.26138, -83.92165.
Online preregistration opens February 27, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026. Fees listed are $30 for 5K preregistration and $35 for 5K race day registration, and $15 for 1 mile preregistration and $20 for 1 mile race day registration. All fees are designated for the Y to support health and wellness programs and education for school-age children.
T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered before September 11. Race numbers will not be mailed and must be picked up at the race site. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age category. Ribbons are given to all 1 mile fun run participants.
