Richmond Aquathlon 2026
The Richmond Aquathlon takes place on 20 June 2026 at Northallerton Leisure Centre in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Even Splits and supported by Richmond Triathlon Club. The event has been relocated from Richmond Swimming Pool to Northallerton Leisure Centre because of structural issues at the pool.
Course and facilities
The event uses a pool-based swim followed by a flat run mostly on grass around fields alongside the leisure centre. The course is described as flat with various lap lengths. Facilities listed include water stations, toilets, changing rooms and showers. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race HQ is at Northallerton Leisure Centre, DL6 2UZ.
Distances and age groups
- Tristart (age 8): 50 m swim, 650 m run
- Tristar 1 (age 9/10): 150 m swim, 1,300 m run
- Tristar 2 (age 11/12): 250 m swim, 2,000 m run
- Tristar 3 (age 13/14): 400 m swim, 3,000 m run
- Youth and adult (age 15+): 500 m swim, 4,400 m run
A pool swim is followed by the run. Ages are based on age on 31 December 2025.
Entry, fees and limits
Online entry closes at 10:00 on Thursday 18 June; there are no late or on-the-day entries. Entry is limited to 200 places. Participants must hold a valid British Triathlon membership or purchase a race pass before the event. Entry fees range from £20.00 to £25.00 depending on category.
