Richey Rabbit Run
Richey Rabbit Run is a community running event held at Richey Elementary School in Wilmington, DE on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The event includes a timed 5K and a one mile non competitive walk and benefits Richey Student Activities.

On race day packet pickup is available. Participants receive race shirts and there is a post-race gathering on the school playground with snacks and refreshments. Results are timed using a chip system and will be posted online during and after the event.
Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and overall masters; these overall awards are scored by gun time while age-group awards use chip (net) time. Medals are awarded to top finishers in elementary grade levels and to the top three in ten-year age groups from 12–18 through 80+; an additional award is given to the grade level that raises the most money.
The event includes fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, with listed sponsorship tiers from $100 up to $1,000. Policies: no dogs allowed, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable. A course map is available and photos will be posted on the organizer’s Facebook page.
