Richey Rabbit Run
Richey Rabbit Run is a community running event held at Richey Elementary School on May 2, 2026, in Wilmington, DE. The event supports Richey Student Activities and includes options for running and walking.
Available distances:
- 5K registration fee $28.74
- 1 Mile Non-Competitive Walk registration fee $18.04
The event provides race shirts and a post-race gathering on the school playground with snacks and refreshments. Chip timing will be used with the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System. Results will be posted online during the event and finalized after the race.
Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers and top masters male and female based on gun time. Other age-group awards are scored by chip (net) time. Medals are awarded to top finishers by elementary grade for kindergarten through fifth grade, and to the top three male and female competitors in ten-year age groups beginning at 12-18 and extending through 80 and older. A special award goes to the grade level that raises the most money for the school.
Event policies include no dogs allowed due to insurance liability, non-transferable bibs, and no refunds on registrations. A course map is available for the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
