Richardson Highway Races
The Richardson Highway Races are held in Valdez, Alaska. This running event takes participants through the natural landscape of the area with a course that starts in the center of town. The route follows a bike path that provides views of the surrounding mountains and the ocean.
Specifically, the 12.5K distance is organized to commemorate the 125 year anniversary of Valdez. The event also offers other distances to accommodate different preferences. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 12.5K (7.46 miles)
Registration for the event includes a set fee for each distance. Participants must collect their bibs on the morning of the races at the designated location, as there is no early pickup option available before the day of the event.
