About the race
The Tata Steel Richard Burton 10k is an annual running event held in Cwmavon, Port Talbot, South Wales, celebrating the spirit of the Welsh valleys and the legendary Richard Burton. The race features a 10-kilometer course starting outside the Cwmafan Community Centre, with a festive atmosphere supported by local sponsors and community groups. Alongside the main 10k, there is the Runtech Kevin Webber Mini Miler, a one-mile fun run for children.
Participants receive finisher T-shirts, Welsh cakes, and other goodies. The event supports local charities, offers various prizes, and provides facilities including parking, refreshments, toilets, and post-race entertainment in the village.
