Event Overview
The Rhulen Rock Hill Run and Ramble 5K is a local road race held at Holiday Mountain Ski Area in New York. The 2026 edition marks the 34th anniversary of the event, which is described as one of the longest-standing races in the Hudson Valley.
Event Format
The event offers four participation options:
- 5K Run / Walk: A live, timed event.
- Virtual 5K - No Shirt: A remote participation option.
- Virtual 5K - With Shirt (Mailed to You): A remote participation option that includes a mailed shirt.
- Just Want the Shirt - I'll Pick it Up: A registration option solely to receive the event shirt, with pick-up on race day.
Course Details
The course is a USTAF certified 5K. It starts at the base of the lodge at Holiday Mountain Ski Area. The route follows Holiday Mountain Road to Edwards Road, running alongside the Neversink River for just over a mile before turning around and coming back. The course is described as flat, with no turns other than the halfway point.
Charitable Cause
The event is hosted by The Trevor Loughlin Foundation. Proceeds support the foundation's grants for patients battling blood cancers and other acute catastrophic illnesses, as well as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, DKMS Delete Blood Cancer, and local charities like the Garnet Catskills Foundation and United Way of Sullivan County. Since 1993, the event has donated over $1.8 million to these causes. A bone marrow donor drive is also held on-site.
Additional Activities
The event includes raffles with prizes such as concert tickets, gift cards, and ski passes. A pop-up bakery sells baked goods, with proceeds benefiting the foundation.
