Rhino Run - Skellingthorpe
Circuit Running presents a six hour timed challenge on a looped course at Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe. The course is 3.28 miles per lap, mainly on a tarmac path that follows an old railway line, with a short section on the field at the start and finish of each lap. The route is out and back and requires no navigation.
Participants may cover distances from a 5 km option up to an ultra marathon within the six hour limit. Distances offered include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra marathon
- 6 hour challenge
There is a table at the end of each lap providing water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets are located at the pavilion on the playing field. Car parking is available at Skellingthorpe Community Centre.
The event supports awareness for save the rhino and some proceeds will be directed to that cause. Finishers receive a bespoke Rhino themed medal and a goody bag. The event is licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Age-based maximum distance limits apply in line with the event rules.
