Rhino Run - Skellingthorpe
Rhino Run is a six hour timed circuit running event held on Saturday, 10 October 2026 in Skellingthorpe, Lincoln. The event is licensed by the TRA and is run under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum entries are limited to 60 and the minimum entry age is 18 years. Entries close on 09/10/2026.
The course is a 3.28 mile lap laid mainly along an old railway line on a tarmac path, with a short section on the field at the start and finish of each lap. The route is out and back and requires no navigation. There is a 5k turn point and lap counting determines standard distances.
Distances available include:
- 5k via the 5k turn point
- 10k (two 5k laps)
- Half marathon (four 3.28 mile laps)
- Marathon (eight 3.28 mile laps)
- Ultra marathon (nine or more laps)
A table at the end of each lap will provide water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets are located at the pavilion on the playing field. Parking is available in the car park at Skellingthorpe Community Centre. Finishers receive a bespoke Rhino themed medal and a goody bag.
Age based maximum distances are applied under the event rules, for example ages 12-13 limited to 5,000m and age 20 and over have no maximum. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
