REVEL Big Bear
REVEL Big Bear is a road race located in Southern California that features a course starting in the mountains of Big Bear and ending in the foothills of Redlands. The route takes participants through the San Bernardino National Forest, providing views of pristine forests and vast landscapes.
The event offers two primary distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The course is characterized by a smooth, downhill slope and a significant net elevation drop. Due to this downhill profile, the marathon is a Boston Qualifier. Participants have reported achieving personal records on this course.
The event provides several amenities for runners, including transportation via buses to the start, hydration stations, and course safety measures. At the start line, items such as blankets and gloves are provided to keep participants warm. At the finish, finishers receive a medal and can access post-race food, including pie.
The organization donates a portion of registration fees back to the Big Bear community. Additionally, runners who complete any three REVEL races within a single calendar year are eligible for the Triple REVELer medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
