Restore Our Sacred Lake 5K and 10K Run/Walk/Roll
The event on Sep 12, 2026 brings runners, walkers, and rollers to Onondaga Lake to raise awareness of the lake and the ongoing cleanup effort. The event follows the Thanksgiving Address and highlights the return of the eagle to Onondaga Lake after more than 200 years.

Both races start and finish at Onondaga Lake Park Marina and Boat Launch, 99 Vine Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Participants use the Restoration Way walking path along the shore of Onondaga Lake.
Online registration remains open up to the race. Packet pickup takes place at the park near the start and finish area. A post race awards ceremony will be held in the park.
Trophies are presented to the overall male and female 5K finishers. Custom finisher certificates are available for download after the race. Age groups include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
Timing uses a gun start with chip finish and professional Jaguar Electronic RFID timing provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated in real time and can be accessed through the official race results platforms, where finish line photos and certificates can also be viewed or downloaded.
