Restore Our Sacred Lake 5K Run/Walk/Roll : Liverpool, NY
This community event is a 5K run/walk/roll held at Onondaga Lake Park Marina & Boat Launch. The course starts and finishes at the marina and follows the Restoration Way walking path along the shore of Onondaga Lake. The event is intended to raise awareness about the lake and the urgency of continued cleanup efforts, and it references the Thanksgiving Address and recent wildlife return to the area as part of its purpose.
Registration is open online until race start. Registration is free through August 31, 2026; a small fee applies for later registration. Packet pickup takes place at the park near the start/finish line on race morning. There is ample free parking at the park.
Timing will use a gun start and chip finish with professional RFID timing and live results available during and after the race. Trophies will be awarded to the top overall male and female 5K finishers. Participants can download custom finisher certificates and view or share finish-line photos through the event results platform. A post-race awards ceremony will be held in the park.
Event age groups are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
