RESERVOIR RUSH
Reservoir Rush is a fundraising running event held on May 15, 2027, at East Haddam Town Beach in Moodus, Connecticut. The event features a course that runs on winding country roads around the town reservoir, offering scenic water views and rolling hills. The course is not USATF certified and is noted to be slightly longer than a standard 5K due to the area's geography.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk - slightly longer than 5K
- Kids Fun Run - 440 yards (0.25 mile)
The event is hosted by East Haddam/Moodus VFW Post 3336. Proceeds will benefit Post 3336 and be distributed to veteran-focused nonprofit programs, including the House of Heroes of Connecticut and the Forever in My Heart Foundation program VETS Valor, which provides psychiatric and mobility service dog training to assist disabled veterans.
Registration details: open registration begins October 1, 2026. Registration for the 5K closes May 14, 2027, and registration for the Kids Fun Run closes on May 15, 2027.
