Rendezvous Mountain Hill Climb
The Rendezvous Mountain Hill Climb is an annual nonprofit uphill running event held at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The course begins near the base of the Bridger Gondola and finishes at the summit of the Aerial Tram, following the Wildflower Trail to Rendezvous Lodge and then the Cirque Trail to the top of Rendezvous Bowl.
The route is almost entirely singletrack and covers approximately 6.1 miles with about 4,100 feet of vertical gain. Aid stations are provided along the course, but due to the backcountry location and rugged terrain, racers are advised not to rely on them as their sole source of water. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, with variable mountain weather possible including cool mornings, warmer afternoons, and occasional afternoon thunderstorms.
This annual race is held in memory of a longtime Jackson Hole Aerial Tram mechanic who died in an avalanche in 2012. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort donates 100 percent of race proceeds to the trails division of Friends of Pathways.
Prize payouts are listed for overall and age-group placements, with a bonus for record breakers. Registration details are subject to change and were most recently listed as currently on hold. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
