Remember the Fallen Memorial Run - North Port, FL
The 16th Annual Remember the Fallen Memorial 5K Run takes place on September 5, 2026 at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way, North Port, Florida. The event is presented by the North Port Fire Rescue Honor Guard and is open to runners, walkers, athletes and supporters.
The course, introduced in 2022, is described as flat and includes displays of fire trucks, police and military vehicles along the route. A post-run celebration will be held on site with performances from a pipes and drums band and an awards ceremony. Special finisher swag and a surprise item are noted for finishers.
A separate Hometown Hero Challenge invites Fire Officers, Fire Fighters, EMTs, Paramedics, Law Enforcement and Military to run while representing their service. Participants in that challenge who run in their service gear will receive a commemorative challenge coin and be recognized during the awards ceremony.
Registration details listed for the events show a fee of $35.00 and specified registration open and close dates. Packet pick-up is available in advance at the George Mullen Activity Center and also on race morning at the same location.
