Remember the Alamo…Beer! (ScallyWompus)
Remember the Alamo…Beer! takes place on August 8, 2026, at The RIM shopping center in San Antonio, Texas. It serves as Race 1 of 4 in the Alamo Beer Series Challenge and is presented as a milestone training race within an 18 week training schedule for SATX and BCS marathon and half marathon programs.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 10k
- 5k
- 0.05k fun run
- 3 person relay, each leg 5k
The venue activity centers around a shaded Tuscany Venue with expansive grounds, a century-old home, three outdoor patios, and an intimate water fountain. Packet pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet San Antonio (Culebra Commons) and on race morning at the start area.
All finishers receive a medal; participants who complete all four series races receive an additional series medal. Awards are given 1st–4th for the 5k, 10k, and half marathon and 1st–3rd for each relay division. Age-group categories range from 14 and under through 90+, with first overall, masters, and super masters based on gun time and age-group awards based on chip time due to wave starts.
No dogs are allowed. The event has a no-refund policy; transfers incur a fee ($20, $30 the day before) and no transfers after race day. Event location may be subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
