This event is the first race in the four-race Alamo Beer Series Challenge, held at Tuscany Venue in San Antonio, Texas (16102 Old Fredericksburg Rd). It offers multiple distance options and a 3-person relay that splits the course into three 5k legs with the exchange at the start / finish line.

The race is presented as a milestone training run aligned with an 18-week training schedule for runners preparing for the SATX or BCS Marathon and Half Marathon. Entry pricing per person is listed as: half marathon $99, 3-person relay $119, 10k $55, 5k $45, and 0.05k $45, with incremental surcharges applied at 15 days before, 5 days before, and on race day.
Pickup for race packets is available at Fleet Feet San Antonio, Culebra Commons (7010 W Loop 1604 N, unit 103) during a scheduled Friday pickup window, and also on race morning at the start line. No dogs are allowed on the course.
Awards: all finishers receive a medal, and participants who complete all four series races receive an additional series medal. Age group awards and overall placements are offered; age group awards are based on chip time, while first overall and select overall categories are based on gun time.
