Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk 2026
The Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk takes place on December 5, 2026 at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, Louisville. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and serves as the first leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix winter series.
The event offers the following distance:
- 4 km (2.4 miles) run and walk on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park.
Entry items and event features include a long sleeve race shirt subject to change, free race photography and photos with Rudolph, a finisher medal, age group awards, overall and masters awards, a team challenge, a costume contest, a virtual option, and packet mailing for an additional fee. Packet mailing requires registration by 11/25/2026 to be mailed before the event.
The costume contest features categories such as Most Christmasy, Ugliest Holiday Sweater, Best Hat, Best Couple or Group Costume, Best Stroller Costume, and awards for the fastest costumed male and female. The Polar Bear Grand Prix Team Challenge is open to 3 to 5 person teams in Male, Female, and Coed divisions; the fastest three team members are scored and the Coed division must include at least one woman. There is no additional fee to enter the team challenge.
