Event overview
Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk is a 4 km (2.4 miles) run and walk on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and is the first leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix, a three-race winter series. Each race in the Polar Bear Grand Prix awards a finisher medal that can connect with the others to form a larger series medal. The entry package includes a long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, free race photography, photos with Rudolph, age group awards, and awards for Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters. A virtual participation option is available, and a packet mailing option has an extra fee.
Registration and logistics
Pre-race packet pickup and late registration take place the day before at Ken Combs Running Store, 4137 Shelbyville Rd, and race day packet pickup is at the Stegner Pavilion at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park. Packet mailing requires registration by 11/30/2024 to be mailed before the race. Registration prices change by date and there are separate fees for in-person, virtual, and virtual-with-packet options. The event partners with Olmsted Parks Conservancy for fundraising; participants who raise $150 or more receive free entry.
