Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk 2026
Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk is scheduled for December 5, 2026 at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY, on the Scenic Loop. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and serves as the first leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix, a three-race winter series that awards a finisher medal for each race and a combined Polar Bear Grand Prix medal when all three are completed.

The entry fee includes a long sleeve race shirt, free race photography and photos with Rudolph, a finisher medal, age-group awards, overall/Masters/Grand Masters awards, team challenge eligibility, and a costume contest. Packet mailing is available for a $10 fee; registrations must be submitted by 11/25/2026 for mailed packets to arrive before the race date.
The costume contest features categories such as Most Christmasy, Ugliest Sweater, Best Hat, Best Couple, Best Group, Best Stroller, and Fastest Costumed Male and Female. The Polar Bear Grand Prix offers a polar fleece headband to the first 500, and each race provides a finisher medal that connects to the series medal.
The Olmsted Parks Conservancy is the event charity partner; raised funds and fundraising goals are posted for the event. Parking at Hogan's Fountain is very limited, with a small lot and marked road spots around the Scenic Loop; parking on the grass may result in a ticket or tow.
