Reid-y To Swim 5K & Motorcycle Ride
This community event combines a 5K run and a motorcycle ride at Greatest Generation Memorial Park in Thomaston, GA. The running route begins at the playground, follows a paved trail out and back, and is described as mostly shaded. A playground and a splash pad are available on site for children.
The event includes a single running distance of 3.1 miles. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group. The competition age groups are: 15 and younger; 16 to 20; 21 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and above.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to local children in need of swim lessons and other water safety resources. Organizers identify the event mission as working to reduce childhood drowning risk and to support water safety education.
