Event Overview
The Regional Rehab 5K and Walk is in its fifth annual edition. The event includes four main formats for a 5K (3.1 miles) distance.
Event Formats
Participants can choose from:
- 5K In Person (Run): A timed, in-person running race.
- Wheelchair Event 5k: A dedicated event for wheelchair participants.
- Walking Only 5k: A timed walking event where running is not permitted.
- 5K Virtual Race: A virtual option that can be completed at any location between April 1 and April 11.
Location and Logistics
The in-person events are held at The Mall at Barnes Crossing in Tupelo, Mississippi. Packet pickup is available before the event at Trails & Treads and on race day at the Food Court entrance of the mall. Race day registration is also available. The event is professionally timed.
Awards and Recognition
Awards are given for the in-person events. The in-person 5k race awards overall, age group, master, and grand master categories, with a prize of $150 for the overall male and female winners. The wheelchair and walking events also have awards for top finishers. Virtual participants receive a shirt, finisher medal, and digital bib, but their results are for recognition only and are not eligible for awards.
Beneficiary
The event supports the Regional Rehab Center (RRC), a privately funded non-profit that provides outpatient therapy and intervention services at no cost to clients in North Mississippi. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
