United Community 48th Reedy River Run
The United Community Reedy River Run is one of the oldest road races in the south, established in 1978. The 48th edition of the event takes place on April 18, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina. Both featured distances begin on S. Main Street and conclude with a downhill finish on Falls Street near the United Community headquarters.
The event offers two main race distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 10 km course functions as the 2026 Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) South Carolina State Championship. The route takes participants through downtown Greenville and passes through Cleveland Park, Cancer Survivors Park, and Falls Park. This course is notable for crossing the Reedy River six times. To manage participant flow, the 10 km uses a staggered wave start system based on estimated finishing times. Participation for this distance is limited to 1,500 runners.
The 5 km distance is a less competitive option with a field limit of 1,000 participants. While it shares the same finish line as the longer race, it does not offer finisher medals or age group awards.
Packet pickup is held exclusively on the Friday before the race at the United Community parking lot on Falls Street. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the event. Members of the Greenville Track Club are eligible for a registration discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
