The Redding Breakfast Lions Turtle Bay Run takes place in Redding, California, utilizing the paved paths and park surroundings along the Sacramento River. Course Details
The Half Marathon course involves crossing three distinct bridges: the Sundial Bridge, the Ribbon Bridge, and the Diestelhorst Bridge. Runners travel north on paved paths before crossing the Sacramento River via the Ribbon Bridge. The route continues south to the Middle Creek trail for a two-mile out-and-back section before returning to the River Trail. Participants cross the Diestelhorst Bridge to the north side of the river and finally return across the Sundial Bridge to the finish. The 10k route also follows the Sacramento River for a shorter distance. Both the Half Marathon and the 10k courses are certified by the American Track and Field Association.
Technical Details and Registration
All distances utilize electronic timing via tracking chips attached to individual race bibs. Age division winners are acknowledged in five-year increments starting at under 15 years of age. The 2 Mile Fun Run includes three additional age divisions for participants aged 5 years and under.
Packet pickup for the event is held at Fleet Feet on Hilltop Drive the day before the race, or at the start area on the morning of the event. Organized school teams for students in high school or younger may enter any distance at a reduced rate, though this entry type does not include a shirt.
