Redding Breakfast Lions Turtle Bay Run

The Redding Breakfast Lions Turtle Bay Run is an annual road race held in the fall at the Sundial Bridge and along the Redding River Trail in Redding, California. The course follows the Sacramento River and includes crossings of three bridges: the Sundial Bridge, the Ribbon Bridge, and the Diestel Horst Bridge. Part of the route uses the Middle Creek trail as an out-and-back section.

Distances offered:

  • Half marathon
  • 10K
  • 2 Mile

The half marathon and 10K are certified by the American Track and Field Association with certification codes CA17044RS for the half marathon and CA16038RS for the 10K. Technical performance T-shirts are included with registration while supplies last; registrations after September 3 incur a late fee and shirts are not guaranteed, and registrations after September 11 may not receive a shirt.

The event uses electronic timing with individual tracking on race bibs. Age-division awards return in five-year increments beginning with under 15 years; the two mile run includes additional divisions starting at five years and under. School teams (high school or younger) may register at a reduced rate of $10 per runner, without shirts.

Swag bag pickup is scheduled the day before and on race day at the Sundial Bridge. The event lists the Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge as the host hotel with special event rates. The start and finish are at the Sundial Bridge and the race takes place along the Redding River Trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
