Redding Marathon Events
The Redding Marathon events take place in Redding, California, with the finish at the Sundial Bridge near 844 Sundial Bridge Drive. The full marathon is a point to point, Boston qualifying course that follows paved Sacramento River trails from Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge. The route passes over Shasta Dam, through an old railroad tunnel, and across the Diestelhorst Bridge and the Ribbon Suspension Bridge.
The event program includes a 3 person marathon relay that follows the same course. The relay price covers the full team and the legs are 9.7 miles, 10.3 miles, and 6.2 miles. Bus transportation to the start of the marathon relay will be very limited in 2027.
A Sundial 5k runs in conjunction with the marathon events and starts and finishes at the Sundial Bridge. The 5k includes age group awards and finish-line music. Children 13 and under are free for the 5k. Long sleeve Q Zip tech shirts are provided to all participants in the full marathon and relay. Long sleeve event shirts are optional for 5k registrants and will be available for sale at $20.
