Red Wolf Rampage : Red Wolf Sanctuary, Rising Sun, IN
Red Wolf Rampage is a trail running and walking event held at the Red Wolf Sanctuary on October 24, 2026. The sanctuary covers 452 acres and the event is timed; recreational runners and walkers are welcome. Proceeds support the sanctuary’s work in environmental education and the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned North American wildlife.
Course highlights include waterways, wetlands, open fields and a final section that passes large wildlife enclosures. The longer distance includes a sustained climb of over 240 feet in elevation in under a mile. Organizers note the course may be rerouted in case of flooding.

Logistics: participants cannot park at the sanctuary; parking and shuttle service are provided with the shuttle pickup next to Union Cemetery at the corner of 1st and Downey Street in Rising Sun. Online registration closes on October 20, 2026; in-person registration is available on the event day. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $40 for the 3.1-mile event and $30 for the 6.2-mile event. Race shirts and participant bags are guaranteed only for those registered by October 10, 2026.
